Ottawa Redblacks and defensive back Brandin Dandridge agree to a two-year extension

The Ottawa Redblacks and defensive back Brandin Dandridge agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2025 season on Friday.

Brandin Dandridge is five foot eleven and weighs 183 pounds. The 27-year-old from Lee’s Summit, Missouri, made 24 tackles, five interceptions, two touchdowns, and one forced fumble in 13 games for the Redblacks in 2023.

In 2022, Dandridge made 14 tackles and two forced fumbles in six games. After the season, he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs before returning to Ottawa. This will be Dandridge’s fifth season in Ottawa. In four seasons, Dandridge has 61 tackles, one tackle on special teams, five interceptions, two touchdowns, and three forced fumbles in 31 games.

Collegiately, Dandridge played five seasons at Missouri Western (2014-18) with 131 tackles (90 solo, 41 assists), half a tackle for loss, 12 interceptions 77 yards, 50 pass breakups, one forced fumble, four fumble recoveries, one blocked punt, two kick returns for 43 yards, 27 punt returns for 361 yards, and one touchdown in 46 games for the Griffins. He was named Second Team All-MIAA (Defensive Back) and First Team All-MIAA (Returner) in 2018.
