The Philadelphia Stars re-signed defensive back LaDarius Wiley for the 2024 season on Tuesday.
LaDarius Wiley is six foot one and weighs 210 pounds. The 27-year-old from Los Angeles, California, made 40 tackles (22 solo, 18 assists), two tackles for loss, one interception, and six pass breakups in ten games for the Stars in 2023.
The Stars drafted Wiley in the 19th round (156th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. In 2022, Wiley made 47 tackles (28 solo, 19 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, one interception, one fumble recovery, and three pass breakups in ten games. In the playoffs, Wiley made 13 tackles (11 solo, 2 assists) and one tackle for loss.
Before Philadelphia, Wiley signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He also spent time with the Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers. In 2020, Wiley played five games for the Los Angeles Wildcats (XFL) with 13 tackles, one sack, and one interception.
Collegiately, Wiley played five seasons at Vanderbilt (2014-18) with 256 tackles (158 solo, 98 assists), six tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, 11 pass breakups, seven forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in 45 games for the Commodores.
