B.C. Lions sign three players including RB Percy Agyei-Obese

The B.C. Lions signed running back Percy Agyei-Obese, wide receiver Stanley Berryhill Jr., and defensive back Bryce Watts.

Percy Agyei-Obese is six foot and weighs 213 pounds. The 25-year-old from Frederick, Maryland, had 159 carries for 908 yards, eight touchdowns, and two catches for 11 yards in ten games for the Dukes in 2022.

Collegiately, Agyei-Obese played six seasons at James Madison University (2017-22) with 694 carries for 3,503 yards, 39 touchdowns, 18 catches for 119 yards, and one kick return for 16 yards in 60 games for the Dukes. He was a two-time First Team All-CAA and three-time VaSID First Team All-State.

Stanley Berryhill Jr. is five foot eleven and weighs 190 pounds. The 25-year-old from Tucson, Arizona, signed with the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) in 2023 but never played a game.

Before Houston, Berryhill Jr. signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He also had stints with the Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions. In the 2022 preseason playing for Detroit, Berryhill Jr. made one catch for 14 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Collegiately, Berryhill Jr. played four seasons at Arizona (2018-21) with 139 catches for 1,477 yards, nine touchdowns, 21 carries for 144 yards, five kick returns for 83 yards, and 21 punt returns for 154 yards in 39 games for the Wildcats. He was named First Team All-Pac 12 in 2021.

Bryce Watts is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 25-year-old from Toms River, New Jersey, was with the St. Louis Battlehawks (XFL), Arlington Renegades (XFL), and the New Orleans Breakers (USFL) in 2023. Before New Orleans, Watts signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2022.

Collegiately, Watts played two seasons at Virginia Tech (2017-18) with 29 tackles (28 solo, 1 assist), one interception, and seven pass breakups in 25 games for the Hokies. Next, Watts transferred to North Carolina (2019-20) but never played a game for the Tar Heels. Then, Watts transferred to the University of Massachusetts in 2021 with 43 tackles (25 solo, 18 assist), one interception for seven yards, and five pass breakups for the Minutemen.
