Penn State loses the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl

The Penn State Nittany Lions (10-3) visited the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday afternoon against the Ole Miss Rebels (11-2) in the 2023 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. Unfortunately, the Nittany Lions were overmatched and outplayed losing to the Rebels 38-25.

Penn State had 510 yards on offense. Quarterback Drew Allar completed 19 of 39 passes (49%) for 295 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and five carries for 40 yards. Running back Kaytron Allen had 10 carries for 51 yards and running back Nicholas Singleton had eight carries for 50 yards, four catches for 86 yards, and one touchdown.

Penn State tight ends Tyler Warren and Theo Johnson, and wide receiver Harrison Wallace III combined with 11 catches logging 210 yards, and two touchdowns. Penn State’s defense made 79 tackles, ten tackles for loss, one sack, and three pass breakups.

Ole Miss had 540 yards on offense. Quarterback Jaxson Dart completed 25 of 40 passes (63%) for 379 yards, three touchdowns, eight carries for 14 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Quinshon Judkins had 34 carries for 106 yards, one catch for 14 yards, and one touchdown.

Ole Miss tight end Caden Prieskorn made ten catches for 136 yards, and two touchdowns. Ole Miss’s defense made 47 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, one fumble recovery, and seven pass breakups.
