On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, the Philadelphia Flyers sent Alexis Gendron to the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL. In addition, Gendron’s rights in the QMJHL were traded by the Gatineau Olympiques to Drummondville. Gendron has already played one game for the Voltigeurs with two points (2 goals) against Quebec Remparts on Wednesday night.

Alexis Gendron is five foot ten and weighs 180 pounds. The Flyers drafted Gendron in the seventh round (220th pick) in the 2022 NHL Draft. The 20-year-old from Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec, had seven points (5 goals, 2 assists), 13 penalty minutes, one power-play goal, and one game-winning goal in 17 games for the Phantoms this season.

Before Lehigh Valley, Gendron played for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada and Gatineau Olympiques in the 2022-23 season with 81 points (55 goals, 26 assists), and 44 penalty minutes in 63 games.

He led the league in power-play goals (21), ranked second in goals and shots (312), and tied-5th in GWG (5). In addition, he scored the most playoff games in the QJHL (14). He had 19 points (14 goals, 5 assists), four penalty minutes, and six power-play goals in 13 playoff games.

Gendron played three seasons in the QJHL with 141 points (94 goals, 47 assists) on 587 shots, 124 penalty minutes, 26 power-play goals, two short-hand goals, and 16 game-winning goals in 63 games. In addition, he had 27 points (19 goals, 8 assists), 90 shots, 20 penalty minutes, nine power-play goals, and three game-winning goals in 28 games.
