The Toronto Argonauts re-signed wide receiver Richie Sindani to a one-year contract extension through the 2024 season on Wednesday.

Richie Sindani is six foot two and weighs 220 pounds. The 28-year-old from Regina, Saskatchewan, split the 2023 season with the Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats making 20 catches for 180 yards in 15 games. In Hamilton, he made 12 catches for 90 yards, and in Toronto made eight catches for 90 yards. The Argonauts signed Sindani as a free agent on October 2, 2023.

Before Hamilton, the Stampeders drafted Sindani in the eighth round (70th pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft out of the University of Calgary. In four seasons with Calgary, Sindani made 92 catches for 986 yards and three touchdowns in 60 games. He helped Calgary win the 2018 Grey Cup championship.

Then, Sindani signed with the New Orleans Breakers (USFL). He was transferred to the team’s inactive list on March 19, and activated from the suspended list on March 26. Unfortunately, the Breakers released him on April 4, 2023. After New Orleans, Sindani signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on April 28, 2023.

Collegiately, Sindani played three seasons at the University of Regina (2013-2015) with 33 catches for 467 yards and three touchdowns in 20 games for the Rams.

In 2016, Sindani played eight games for the Calgary Colts (CJFL) with 31 catches for 414 yards and two touchdowns. Then, Sindani transferred to the University of Calgary in 2017 with 23 receptions for 280 yards and one touchdown in six games for the Dinos.
