The Saskatchewan Roughriders re-signed running back Frankie Hickson to a one-year contract extension through the 2024 season on Thursday.

Frankie Hickson is five foot eight and weighs 200 pounds. The 26-year-old from Lynchburg, Virginia, had 35 carries for 157 yards, four catches for 39 yards, and five kick returns for 93 yards in ten games for the Roughriders in 2023.

The Roughriders signed Hickson on April 27, 2022. In 2022, Hickson had 85 carries for 533 yards, one touchdown, 17 catches for 109 yards, and seven kick returns for 168 yards in 13 games.

Collegiately, Hickson played four seasons at Liberty (2015-2019) with 516 carries for 2,448 yards, 25 touchdowns, 26 catches for 198 yards, one touchdown, and 34 kick returns for 653 yards in 36 games for the Flames. He was a two-time Second Team All-Big South Conference as a kick returner.
