The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed defensive lineman Roman Lee Harrison and linebacker K.D. Davis along with releasing wide receiver Jake Wieneke on Thursday.

Roman Lee Harrison is six foot two and weighs 235 pounds. The 23-year-old from Bainbridge, Georgia, played five seasons at Tennessee (2019-23) with 108 tackles (55 solo, 53 assists), 16.5 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks in 58 games for the Volunteers.

In the 2022 Capital One Orange Blow against No. 7 Clemson, Harrison made three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist) and one tackle for a loss. Harrison was on the 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List.

K.D. Davis is six foot and weighs 230 pounds. The 24-year-old from Ennis, Texas, played five seasons at North Texas (2018-22) with 428 tackles (200 solo, 228 assists), 32 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, one interception, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and four fumble recoveries in 61 games for the Mean Green.

He was named First Team All-C-USA by the coaches in 2021, a First Team All-C-USA by Phil Steele in 2022, C-USA Linebacker of the Year by PFN in 2022, and the C-USA Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.

Jake Wieneke is six foot four and weighs 215 pounds. The 29-year-old from Maple Grove, Minnesota, made 17 catches for 177 yards in six games for the Roughriders in 2023. The Roughriders signed Wieneke as a free agent on February 14, 2023.

Before Saskatchewan, Wieneke signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He would later sign with the Salt Lake Stallions (AAF) in 2019 but was released before the season began.

Shortly after he was released by Salt Lake, Wieneke signed with the Montreal Alouettes on January 4, 2019. He played three seasons in Montreal with 142 catches for 2,056 yards, 21 touchdowns, and two kick returns for six yards in 48 games. He was named a CFL East All-Star and CFL All-Star in 2021, and the winner of the Frank M. Gibson Trophy in 2019.

Collegiately, Wieneke played four seasons at South Dakota State (2014-17) with 288 catches for 5,157 yards, 59 touchdowns, three carries for 135 yards, one touchdown, completed one pass for 16 yards, one touchdown, five tackles (3 solo, 2 assists), and one pass breakup in 53 games for the Jackrabbits. He was named First Team All-American by STATS, the American Football Coaches Association, and the Associated Press in 2015.
