The Arlington Renegades signed tight end Austin Allen and wide receiver Isaiah Winstead for the 2024 season on Friday.
Austin Allen is six foot eight and weighs 253 pounds. The 25-year-old from Aurora, Colorado, made one catch for one yard in three preseason games for the Green Bay Packers in 2023. The New York Giants signed Allen as an undrafted free agent in 2022.
Collegiately, Allen played four seasons at Nebraska (2018-21) with 65 catches for 975 yards, three touchdowns, one carry for two yards, and five tackles (5 solo) in 34 games for the Cornhuskers.
Isaiah Winstead is six foot four and weighs 213 pounds. The 24-year-old from Richmond, Virginia, made four catches for 54 yards in two preseason games for the San Francisco 49ers in 2023. The 49ers signed Winstead as an undrafted free agent in 2023.
Collegiately, Winstead played two seasons at Norfolk State (2017-18) with 83 catches for 977 yards, eight touchdowns, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 22 games for the Spartans. In his sophomore year, Winstead led NSU in all major receiving categories, including catches (54), yards (633) and touchdowns (5).
Next, Winstead transferred to Toledo (2020-21) with 63 catches for 949 yards, and four touchdowns in 19 games for the Rockets. He was named Third Team All-MAC in 2020.
Then, Winstead transferred to East Carolina in 2022 with 88 catches for 1,085 yards and six touchdowns in 13 games for the Pirates. He was named Third Team All-AAC by Phil Steele in 2022.
