The Memphis Showboats signed defensive back Antonio Reed for the 2024 season. Reed signed with the New Jersey Generals (USFL) on October 3, 2023, before the XFL and USFL merged to create the United Football League (UFL).
Antonio Reed is six foot and weighs 212 pounds. The 26-year-old from Memphis, Tennessee, made 30 tackles (17 solo, 13 assists), one interception for 15 yards, and three pass breakups in seven games for the Memphis Showboats in 2023.
The Showboats (then the Tampa Bay Bandits) drafted Reed in the tenth round (352nd pick) of the 2022 USFL Supplemental Draft. In 2022, Reed made 29 tackles (23 solo, 6 assists) and five pass breakups in eight games for the Bandits.
Collegiately, Reed played four seasons at Nebraska (2015-18) with 118 tackles (79 solo, 39 assists), five tackles for loss, one sack, three interceptions, five pass breakups, and five forced fumbles in 45 games for the Cornhuskers.
