The St. Louis Battlehawks signed defensive tackle Kobe Smith for the 2024 season on Friday.

Kobe Smith is six foot two and weighs 312 pounds. The 25-year-old from Lawrenceville, Georgia, made seven tackles (2 solo, 5 assists) and half a sack in three games for the San Antonio Brahmas (XFL) in 2023. Later, he signed with the New York Giants making seven tackles (2 solo, 5 assists) in three preseason games before being placed on the practice squad.

Before San Antonio, Smith signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He later spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Atlanta Falcons. He was on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad when they won Super Bowl LV.

Collegiately, Smith played four seasons at South Carolina (2016-19) with 84 tackles (39 solo, 45 assists), seven tackles for loss, and two sacks in 48 games for the Gamecocks.
