Hamilton Tiger-Cats extends FB Felix Garand-Gauthier for two more years

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-signed fullback Felix Garand-Gauthier to a two-year contract extension through the 2025 season on Monday.

Felix Garand-Gauthier is six foot one and weighs 225 pounds. The 28-year-old from Mirabel, Quebec, made six catches for 54 yards, and five tackles on special teams in 18 games for the Ticats in 2023. The Ticats drafted Garand-Gauthier in the fifth round (37th pick) of the 2021 CFL Draft. In three seasons, Garand-Gauthier with one carry for one yard, 15 catches for 244 yards, two tackles, and 21 tackles on special teams in 46 games for the Ticats.

Collegiately, Garand-Gauthier played two seasons at Laval University (2018-19) with 11 carries for 23 yards, three touchdowns, 12 catches for 152 yards, three touchdowns, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 14 games for the Rouge Et Or. He was named U Sports Second Team All-Canadian in 2019. He helped the Rouge Et Or win the Vanier Cup in 2018.
