The Calgary Stampeders re-signed running back William Langlais to a one-year contract extension through the 2024 season and signed offensive lineman Chris Toth on Tuesday.

William Langlais is six foot three and weighs 228 pounds. The 33-year-old from Hull, Quebec, made four catches for 28 yards, one touchdown, and three kick returns for 40 yards in 17 games for the Stampeders in 2023.

The Stampeders drafted Langlais in the third round (27th pick) of the 2015 CFL Draft. In seven seasons in Calgary, Langlais has 24 catches for 289 yards, two touchdowns, one carry for three yards, one tackle, 49 tackles on special teams, one touchdown, and one punt for 50 yards in 106 games. Collegiately, Langlais played three seasons at Cégep Beauce-Appalaches (2009-11) and two seasons at the Université de Sherbrooke (2012-13).

Chris Toth is six foot six and weighs 325 pounds. The 24-year-old from Lockport, Illinois, played one game for the Philadelphia Stars in 2023. The Stars signed Toth as a free agent on June 13, 2023. Before Philadelphia, Toth attended the Chicago Bears rookie minicamp.

Collegiately, he played two seasons at the College of DuPage (2017-18) before transferring to Aurora University (2019-22). In 2021, Toth was part of an offensive line that averaged 493.8 total yards per game, 215.2 yards rushing, and 278.6 passing per game for the Spartans.

He was named First Team Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, First Team All-Region recognition from D3football.com, and was named D3football.com First Team All-American. He became the first team in Aurora University history to play in the Hula Bowl.

Toth graduated from Carl Sandburg High School where he played football, basketball, and volleyball.
