The Montreal Alouettes released defensive lineman Israel Antwine on Wednesday.

Israel Antwine is six foot three and weighs 309 pounds. The 23-year-old from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, made two tackles in seven games for the Alouettes in 2023. Before Montreal, he spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars on the practice squad in 2022.

Collegiately, Antwine played one season at Colorado in 2018 with 15 tackles (5 solo, 10 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, and a half a sack in 12 games for the Buffalos. Then, Antwine transferred to Oklahoma State (2019-21) with 65 tackles (29 solo, 36 assists), 13 tackles for loss, six sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 34 games for the Cowboys.

In his final season, Antwine made 20 tackles, four tackles for loss, and three sacks in 13 games. He was an Honorable Mention All-Big 12 (Coaches) in 2019, named First Team Academic All-Big 12 in 2020, and Second Team Academic All-Big 12 in 2021.
