The Toronto Argonauts signed defensive lineman Jordan Williams on Wednesday.
Jordan Williams is six foot five and weighs 285 pounds. The 24-year-old from Virginia Beach, Virginia, made 22 tackles (13 solo, 9 assists), six tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and two pass breakups in nine games for the Memphis Showboats in 2023.
The Showboats (then the Tampa Bay Bandits) signed Williams as a free agent on December 13, 2022. Before Memphis, Williams signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2022.
Collegiately, Williams played four seasons at Clemson (2017-20) with 41 tackles (19 solo, 22 assists), 9.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 38 games for the Tigers. Then, he transferred to Virginia Tech in 2021 with 33 tackles (10 solo, 23 assists), four tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two quarterback hits, and one forced fumble in 11 games for the Hokies.
