The Calgary Stampeders signed defensive lineman Sharif Finch on Thursday.

Sharif Finch is six foot four and weighs 250 pounds. The 28-year-old from Queens, New York, made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in five games for the Seattle Sea Dragons (XFL) in 2023. The Sea Dragons signed Finch as a free agent in 2023.

Before Seattle, Finch signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He played two seasons with 40 tackles (30 solo, 10 assists), six tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, four quarterback hits, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 24 games for the Titans.

Then, Finch spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals, Las Vegas Raiders, and Chicago Bears before joining the New York Jets. He played three games for the Jets in 2020 with one tackle (1 assist). After New York, Finch went back to Tennessee before heading to the New Orleans Saints in 2021. He played one game for the Saints with five tackles (5 assists).

Collegiately, Finch played five seasons at Temple (2013-17) with 144 tackles (85 solo, 59 assists), 32 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, two interceptions for 91 yards, one touchdown, five pass breakups, five forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, five blocked punts, and two punt returns for 27 yards in 53 games for the Owls. He was named Second Team All-AAC in 2017.
