The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed quarterback Kevin Thomson on Thursday.

Kevin Thomson is six foot one and weighs 220 pounds. The 28-year-old from Auburn, Washington, completed 1 of 2 passes (50%) for 11 yards in two games for the Philadelphia Stars in 2023. The Stars signed Thomson as a free agent on November 9, 2022.

Before Philadelphia, Thomson appeared in one game for the B.C. Lions on August 26, 2022, against the Saskatchewan Roughriders before being released on September 8, 2022. He’s appeared in three games for the B.C. Lions in two seasons.

Collegiately, Thomson was a redshirt freshman at UNLV in 2014. Next, he transferred to Sacramento State (2017-19) completing 441 of 770 passes (57%) for 6,424 yards, 52 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 672 carries for 832 yards, 21 touchdowns, and two punts for 73 yards with a long of 38 yards in 27 games for the Hornets.

Thomson was named First Team All-Big Sky and the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year in 2019. Then, he transferred to Washington but did not play a game.
