The St. Louis Battlehawks signed kicker Andrew Mevis on Friday.

Andrew Mevis is five foot eleven and weighs 205 pounds. The 25-year-old from Warsaw, Indiana, signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He was released on July 29, 2022.

Collegiately, Mevis played three seasons at Fordham University (2017-19) converted 27 of 38 field goals (71.05%) with a long of 54 yards, 139 kickoffs for 8,614 yards, 82 touchbacks, one kick out of bounds, punted the ball 216 times for 8,593 yards, with a long of 70 yards, 10 touchbacks, 79 fair catches, 72 from inside the 20-yard line, and 31 punts for 50-plus yards in 34 games for the Rams. He was named First Team All-Patriot League as a placekicker in 2019.

Then, Mevis transferred to Iowa State in 2021 converting 20 of 23 field goals (87%) with a long of 54 yards, 79 kickoffs for 4,953 yards, 55 touchbacks, punted the ball 25 times for 1,016 yards, nine fair catches, five from inside the 20-yard line, four from 50-plus yards, and one carry for 29 yards in 13 games for the Cyclones. He was named Third Team All-Big 12 by Phil Steele.
