The Carolina Cobras (NAL) signed quarterback Guy Myers on Tuesday. Myers was released by the Memphis Showboats (UFL) last Saturday.
Guy Myers is six foot six and weighs 215 pounds. The 25-year-old from Woodbridge, Virginia, went undrafted in 2022 and later signed with the New Jersey Generals and Tampa Bay Bandits. When the Bandits rebranded as the Showboats, Myers was released on January 26, 2023.
In 2022, Myers played for the Carolina Cobras (NAL) completing one of three passes (33%) for 16 yards, one interception, and one carry for eight yards in ten games. The Cobras finished runner-up in the championship game against the Albany Empire.
Collegiately, Myers played one season at Mississippi Delta Community College in 2016 averaging 61.4 passing yards per game for the Trojans. Then, he transferred to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in 2018 completing 69 of 124 passes (56%) for 1,058 yards, ten touchdowns, three interceptions, 74 carries for 425 yards, and six touchdowns in ten games for the Miners.
Then, he transferred to the University of Charleston (2019-21) completing 207 of 334 passes (62%) for 2,658 yards, 18 touchdowns, eight interceptions, 190 carries for 925 yards, 18 touchdowns, and one punt for 35 yards in 24 games for the Golden Eagles.
