The Michigan Panthers named former Philadelphia Stars wide receiver’s coach and passing game coordinator Marcel Bellefeuille as the new offensive coordinator.

Marcel Bellefeuille served as the wide receivers coach and passing game coach for the Stars for two seasons. In 2022, tight end Bug Howard and wide receiver Jordan Suell finished in the top ten in receiving yards and touchdowns when Philadelphia went to the USFL Championship game against the Birmingham Stallions and nearly won.

In 2023, the Stars’ offense ranked third in passing (213.3 yards per game), finished last in rushing (77 yards per game), 20 touchdowns, and allowed a league-high 29 sacks. The Panthers drafted former Philadelphia players Corey Coleman, Devin Gray, Jordan Suell, and Terry Wright.

Before the USFL, Bellefeuille coached in the CFL with Saskatchewan, Montreal, Hamilton, Winnipeg, and British Columbia. In addition, he coached U Sports with Ottawa and Queen’s.
