Montreal Alouettes sign three players including WR Tyjon Lindsey

The Montreal Alouettes signed wide receiver Tyjon Lindsey, defensive tackle Jerron Cage, and defensive back Bryce Cosby on Monday.

Tyjon Lindsey is five foot eight and weighs 171 pounds. The 25-year-old from Corona, California, made five catches for 64 yards, one kick return for 16 yards, and two punt returns for 36 yards in three preseason games for the Seattle Seahawks in 2023. The Seahawks signed Lindsey as an undrafted free agent in 2023.

Collegiately, Lindsey played two seasons at Nebraska (2017-18) making 15 catches for 98 yards, nine carries for 13 yards, six punt returns for one yard, and one kick return for 17 yards in 13 games for the Cornhuskers. Then, he transferred to Oregon State (2019-22) making 75 catches for 917 yards, nine touchdowns, 25 carries for 184 yards, three touchdowns, and completed 4 of 5 passes (80%) for 115 yards, and one touchdown in 39 games for the Beavers.

Jerron Cage is six foot two and weighs 304 pounds. The 25-year-old from Cincinnati, Ohio, made three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist) in three preseason games for the New Orleans Saints in 2023. The Saints signed Cage as an undrafted free agent in 2023.

Collegiately, Cage played five seasons at Ohio State (2018-22) making 34 tackles (13 solo, 24 assists), eight tackles for loss, three sacks, one pass breakup, three fumble recoveries, and one touchdown in 30 games for the Buckeyes.

Bryce Cosby is five foot ten and weighs 185 pounds. The 24-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky, made five tackles (4 solo, 1 assist) in three preseason games for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023. He spent two seasons on the Raiders practice squad after Las Vegas signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2022.

Collegiately, Cosby played five seasons at Ball State (2017-21) with 391 tackles (228 solo, 163 assists), 22.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, ten interceptions, 26 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in 57 games for the Cardinals. He was named First Team All-MAC and the Arizona Bowl Defensive Player of the Game in 2020.
