The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed linebacker Zakoby McClain on Tuesday.
Zakoby McClain is six foot and weighs 219 pounds. The 23-year-old from Valdosta, Georgia, appeared in two games for the New Orleans Breakers (USFL) in 2023 recording no stats. Before New Orleans, McClain signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He made 10 tackles (5 solo, 5 assists) in three preseason games.
Collegiately, McClain played four seasons at Auburn (2018-21) with 267 tackles (147 solo, 120 assists), 19 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, one interception for 100 yards, one touchdown, nine pass breakups, and four forced fumbles in 49 games for Tigers. He was named Second Team All-SEC in 2021.
