The Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-signed defensive back Nick Hallett to a two-year contract extension through the 2025 season, while Noah Hallett agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2024 season according to 3DownNation’s John Hodge.
Nick Hallett is five foot eleven and weighs 202 pounds. The 29-year-old from London, Ontario, made three tackles, and 20 tackles on special teams in 18 games for the Blue Bombers in 2023.
The Blue Bombers drafted Hallett in the seventh round (61st pick) of the 2019 CFL Draft. In four seasons in Winnipeg, Hallett has made 34 tackles, 60 tackles on special teams, one interception, and three forced fumbles in 68 games.
Collegiately, Hallett played six seasons at the University of Toronto (2013-18) with 133 tackles (115 solo, 37 assists), four tackles for loss, one sack, four interceptions for 72 yards, 18 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in 29 games for the Varsity Blues.
Noah Hallett is six foot and weighs 190 pounds. The 26-year-old from London, Ontario, was on the Blue Bombers practice squad in 2023. The Blue Bombers drafted Hallett in the second round (18th pick) of the 2020 CFL Draft. In two seasons in Winnipeg, Hallett has made one tackle and six special teams tackles in five games.
Collegiately, Hallett played four seasons at McMaster University (2016-19) with 107 tackles (62 solo, 45 assists), five tackles for loss, three sacks, eight interceptions, 23 pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one carry for 11 yards, and two punt returns for 11 yards in 30 games for the Marauders.
