San Antonio Brahmas sign three players including QB Quinton Dormady

The San Antonio Brahmas signed quarterback Quinton Dormady, wide receiver T.J. Vasher, and offensive lineman Haggai Chisom Ndbubuisi.

Quinton Dormady is six foot three and weighs 215 pounds. The 27-year-old from West Union, Iowa, completed 140 of 205 passes (68.3%) for 1,507 yards, 10 touchdowns, 5 interceptions, 25 carries for 97 yards, and four touchdowns in seven games for the Orlando Guardians (XFL) in 2023. The Brahmas drafted Dormady in the 2024 UFL Disposal Draft.

The Guardians drafted Dormady in Phase 0 of the 2023 XFL Draft. Orlando was not included in the XFL and USFL merger that formed the United Football League (UFL). Before Orlando, Dormady signed with the Montreal Alouettes in 2020. He also spent time with the Green Bay Packers in 2022.

Collegiately, Dormady played three seasons at Tennessee (2015-17) completing 100 of 176 passes (57%) for 1,282 yards, seven touchdowns, six interceptions, and 22 carries for 21 yards in 16 games for the Volunteers. Next, Dormady transferred to Houston in 2018 completing 2 of 5 passes (40%) for 8 yards in two games for the Cougars.

Then, Dormady transferred to Central Michigan in 2019 completing 190 of 294 passes (65%) for 2,312 yards, 14 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, and 35 carries for -39 yards in ten games for Chippewas.

T.J. Vasher is six foot five and weighs 210 pounds. The 25-year-old from Wichita Falls, Texas, made 16 catches for 173 yards, and two touchdowns in nine games for the Brahmas in 2023. The Brahmas drafted Vasher in the ninth round (67th pick) of the 2022 XFL Draft. Before San Antonio, Vasher signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2021. He made two catches for 20 yards in two preseason games for the Cowboys in 2022.

Collegiately, Vasher played five seasons at Texas Tech (2016-20) making 146 catches for 1,983 yards, 21 touchdowns, eight tackles (7 solo, 1 assist), and one forced fumble in 42 games for the Red Raiders.

Haggai Chisom Ndbubuisi is six foot seven and weighs 323 pounds. The 23-year-old from Lagos, Nigeria, made three tackles (1 solo, 2 assists) in three preseason games for the Denver Broncos in 2023. The Broncos signed Ndbubuisi as a free agent in 2023. Before Denver, Ndbubuisi signed with the Arizona Cardinals in 2022.

Ndbubuisi did not attend college. He started to play football at the age of 18 years old after watching a YouTube video. He would later join the NFL through the International Player Pathway Program (IPPP) which led him to getting signed by the Cardinals.
