St. Louis Battlehawks bring back All-XFL DB Lavert Hill

The St. Louis Battlehawks welcomed back defensive back Lavert Hill on Wednesday for the 2024 season.

Lavert Hill is five foot ten and weighs 190 pounds. The 25-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, made 25 tackles (12 solo, 13 assists) and two interceptions for eight yards in ten games for the St. Louis Battlehawks in 2023. He was named to the All-XFL Team after the season. Then, Hill signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers with one tackle (1 assist) and one pass breakup in two preseason games.

Before St. Louis, Hill signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals, and Cleveland Browns.

Collegiately, Hill played four seasons at Michigan (2016-19) with 57 tackles (37 solo, 20 assists), seven tackles for loss, six interceptions for 70 yards, two touchdowns, 29 pass breakups, one fumble recovery, one kick return for 14 yards, and three punt returns for -1 yard in 46 games for the Wolverines. He was named two-time All-Big Ten and Second Team All-Big Ten in 2017.
