The Ottawa Redblacks have released wide receiver Nate Behar on Sunday night according to 3DownNation’s John Hodge. Hodge reported that Behar was set to make $140,000 in hard money next season. However, Ottawa will be on the hook for $30,000 of his salary.
Nate Behr is six foot and weighs 204 pounds. The 29-year-old from London, Ontario, made 39 catches for 334 yards, and one touchdown in 12 games. The Redblacks signed Behr as a free agent on February 15, 2019.
In four seasons in Ottawa, Behar has made 152 catches for 1,669 yards, three touchdowns, and two carries for three yards in 56 games. Before Ottawa, the Eskimos drafted Behar in the first round (5th pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft. Behar spent two seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos (now Elks) with 27 catches for 257 yards, and one touchdown in 30 games.
Collegiately, Behar played four seasons at Carleton University (2013-16) with 178 catches for 2,577 yards, 21 touchdowns, three carries for 17 yards, three kick returns for 32 yards, and three punt returns for 12 yards in 29 games for the Ravens.
