The San Antonio Brahmas released quarterback Nick Holley on Monday.
Nick Holley is five foot ten and weighs 197 pounds. The 29-year-old from Toledo, Ohio, made eight catches for 145 yards. In addition, he made six catches for 47 yards, and one touchdown in five games for the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) in 2023. After Houston released him on March 29, 2023, Holley signed with the Brahmas on April 4, 2023.
Before San Antonio, Holley signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2018. In 2019, Holley played for the Salt Lake Stallions (AAF). Then in 2020, he played for the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) making 28 catches for 267 yards, two touchdowns, and two carries for 12 yards in five games before the league ceased operations due to the pandemic.
After Houston, Holley signed with the Calgary Stampeders in 2021. He made 10 catches for 105 yards and three kick returns for 57 yards in three games.
Collegiately, Holley played five seasons at Kent State (2013-17) completing 81 of 167 passes (49%) for 974 yards, six touchdowns, three interceptions, 389 carries for 1,776 yards, 14 touchdowns, 47 catches for 380 yards, five touchdowns, punting the ball one time for 18 yards, and seven punt returns for 52 yards in 40 games for the Rockets. He earned the Lt. Jack Rittichier Award as Team MVP in 2016.
