Montreal Alouettes to sign WR Tevin Jones and DL Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund

The Montreal Alouettes are set to sign wide receiver Tevin Jones to a one-year contract and defensive lineman Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund to a two-year contract on Wednesday according to 3DownNation’s Justin Dunk.

Tevin Jones is six foot two and weighs 225 pounds. The 31-year-old from Amory, Mississippi, made 65 catches for 882 yards, and three touchdowns in 17 games for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2023. The Roughriders signed Jones as a free agent on April 21, 2022. In 2022, Jones made 20 catches for 265 yards, three touchdowns, and three kick returns for 49 yards in 14 games.

Before Saskatchewan, Jones signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He also had stints with the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played five NFL regular season games for the Steelers in 2019 making four catches for 61 yards.

Collegiately, Jones played five seasons at Memphis (2011-15) with 90 catches for 1,215 yards, nine touchdowns, 22 carries for 89 yards, two touchdowns, and one touchdown on a blocked punt in 51 games for the Tigers.

Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund is six foot two and weighs 248 pounds. The 27-year-old Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, made 20 tackles, three tackles for loss, five sacks, and one forced fumble in 18 games for the Calgary Stampeders in 2023. The Stampeders drafted Adeyemi-Berglund in the first round (3rd pick) of the 2020 CFL Draft. In three seasons, Adeyemi-Berglund made 52 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 14 sacks, and one forced fumble in 50 games.

Collegiately, Adeyemi-Berglund played one season at Champlain College in 2015. Then, he transferred to Southeastern Louisiana University (2016-19) with 135 tackles (66 solo, 69 assists), 26 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, six forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and ten pass breakups in 31 games for the Lions. He was named All-Southland Conference Honorable Mention in 2018.
