The B.C. Lions signed defensive back Pete Robertson to a one-year contract for the 2024 season on Tuesday.

Pete Robertson is six foot two and weighs 243 pounds. The 31-year-old from Longview, Texas, made 55 tackles, seven sacks, and one forced fumble in 17 games for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2023.

The Roughriders signed Robertson as a free agent on January 7, 2021. In three seasons, Robertson made 86 tackles, two tackles on special teams, 21 sacks, one interception, and six forced fumbles in 42 games.

Before Saskatchewan, Robertson signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He also had stints with the Washington Redskins twice and Arizona Cardinals playing a combined six NFL regular season games with four tackles (2 solo, 2 assists).

Collegiately, Robertson played five seasons at Texas Tech (2011-15) with 202 tackles (125 solo, 77 assists), 33 tackles for loss, 18.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions for 21 yards, one touchdown, eight pass breakups, seven forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and one blocked punt in 47 games for the Red Raiders.
