The Calgary Stampeders signed linebacker Cam Bright on Wednesday.
Cam Bright is six foot and weighs 222 pounds. The 24-year-old from Cleveland, Ohio, made two tackles (2 solo) in three preseason games for the Cleveland Browns in 2023. The Seattle Seahawks signed Bright as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023.
Collegiately, Bright played four seasons at Pittsburgh (2018-21) making 186 tackles (110 solo, 76 assists), 24.5 tackles for loss, nine sacks, one interception, one touchdown, four pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in 52 games for the Panthers.
Then, he transferred to Washington in 2022 making 60 tackles (31 solo, 29 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one interception, and one pass breakup in 13 games for the Huskies. He was named an All-PAC 12 Honorable Mention and Third Team All-PAC 12 by Phil Steele in 2022.
