The St. Louis Battlehawks signed quarterback Brandon Silvers on Wednesday a day after they released quarterback Nick Tiano.
Brandon Silvers is six foot three and weighs 219 pounds. The 29-year-old from Pensacola, Florida, completed 156 of 282 passes (59.5%) for 1,551 yards, 13 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, and nine carries for -2 yards in eight games for the Houston Roughnecks in 2023.
Before Houston, Silvers attended a rookie minicamp with the New Orleans Saints in 2018. In 2019, he played for the Memphis Express (AAF) completing 80 of 125 passes (64%) for 799 yards, four touchdowns, two interceptions, and four carries for 22 yards in five games. After the season, he signed with the New York Jets.
In 2020, Silvers played for the Seattle Dragons (XFL) completing 53 of 102 passes (52%) for 539 yards, six touchdowns, four interceptions, and six carries for 16 yards in four games before the season was shut down due to COVID-19.
In 2021, Silvers played for the Conquerors completing 55 of 80 passes (68.8%) for 685 yards, nine touchdowns, one interception, and four carries for five yards in six games leading the Conquerors to the championship game. He initially signed a contract with the USFL but was never drafted.
Collegiately, Silvers played four seasons at Troy (2014-17) completing 950 of 1,479 yards, 69 touchdowns, 29 interceptions, 229 carries for 404 yards, 16 touchdowns, and one catch for nine yards in 47 games for the Trojans. He was named First Team All-Sun Belt in 2016.
