Calgary Stampeders sign wide receiver Auden Tate

The Calgary Stampeders signed wide receiver Auden Tate for the 2024 season on Friday.

Auden Tate is six foot five and weighs 228 pounds. The 27-year-old from Irmo, California, was on the Arizona Cardinals practice squad in 2023.

Before Arizona, Tate was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the seventh round (253rd pick) of the 2018 NFL Draft. He played four seasons in Cincinnati making 61 catches for 799 yards, two touchdowns, one tackle (1 solo), and one fumble recovery in 35 games. Next, Tate was on the practice squads of both the Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022.

Collegiately, Tate played three seasons at Florida State (2015-17) making 65 catches for 957 yards, 16 touchdowns, and two tackles (2 solo) in 29 games for the Seminoles, of which 11 were starts.
