The Edmonton Elks signed running back Camerun Peoples on Friday.

Camerun Peoples is six foot two and weighs 225 pounds. The 24-year-old from Lineville, Alabama, had four carries for four yards and two catches for 24 yards in one preseason game for the Carolina Panthers against the Detroit Lions in 2023. The Panthers signed Peoples as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023.

Collegiately, Peoples played five seasons at Appalachian State (2018-22) with 455 carries for 2,830 yards, 33 touchdowns, and 11 carries for 77 yards in 36 games for the Mountaineers. He was named Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference in 2021. In his senior season, Peoples had 101 carries for 593 yards, five touchdowns, and six catches for 43 yards in nine games.
