The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed offensive lineman Ryan Sceviour to a one-year contract through the 2024 season on Friday.
Ryan Sceviour is six foot four and weighs 300 pounds. The 28-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, started 18 games for the Calgary Stampeders in 2023.
The Stampeders’ offense ranked fourth in offense average points (21.8), sixth in average rushing yards (99.5), seventh in offensive touchdowns (33) and passing yards average (237.0), eighth in net offense average (321.5), and third in sacks allowed (34).
The Stampeders drafted Sceviour in the first round (8th pick) of the 2018 CFL Draft. Sceviour played six seasons in Calgary playing 65 games. He was named a CFL West All-Star in 2022 and helped the Stampeders win the 106th Grey Cup over the Ottawa Redblacks in 2018 in Edmonton.
Collegiately, Sceviour played five seasons at the University of Calgary (2013-17) playing 44 games for the Dinos. In 2016, he caught one pass for 21 yards in the Hardy Cup against the University of British Columbia.
