The Ottawa Redblacks signed defensive back Dillon Thomas on Tuesday.

Dillon Thomas is six foot two and weighs 189 pounds. The 24-year-old from Kansas City, Missouri, was recently with the San Antonio Brahmas (UFL) after being drafted by them in the 2023 XFL Rookie Draft. In addition, he attended a rookie minicamp with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Collegiately, Thomas played four seasons at Northern Illinois (2018-21) making 122 tackles (79 solo, 43 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, 11 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 44 games for the Huskies.

Next, Thomas transferred to Missouri State in 2022 making 56 tackles (32 solo, 24 assists) two tackles for loss, one sack, and five pass breakups in 11 games for the Bears.
