The Memphis Showboats signed tight end Dominique Dafney for the 2024 season on Wednesday.

Dominique Dafney is six foot three and weighs 235 pounds. The 26-year-old from West Des Moines, Iowa, made four catches for 33 yards in three preseason games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2023. The Buccaneers signed Dafney as a free agent on January 23, 2023.

Before Tampa Bay, the Indianapolis Colts signed Dafney as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He also had stints with the Green Bay Packers, and Denver Broncos before returning to the Colts in 2022.

Collegiately, Dafney played one season at Iowa Western Community College in 2015 making one catch for five yards in seven games for the Reivers. Next, he transferred to Iowa (2017-18) making one catch for 19 yards, one punt return for 26 yards, and eight tackles (4 solo, 4 assists) in nine games for the Hawkeyes.

Then, Dafney transferred to Indiana State in 2019 making four catches for 52 yards, one touchdown, one touchdown, four carries for 46 yards, seven touchdowns, and two tackles (2 solo) in four games for the Sycamores.
