Michigan Panthers to sign WR Lance Lenoir Jr.

The Michigan Panthers are set to sign wide receiver Lance Lenoir Jr. on Saturday according to Pro Football Newsroom’s James Larsen.

Lance Lenoir Jr. is six foot and weighs 207 pounds. The 29-year-old from Chicago, Illinois, made nine catches for 99 yards in four games for the Orlando Guardians (XFL) in 2023. Lenoir Jr. signed with the Guardians as a free agent on February 23, 2023.

Before Orlando, Lenoir Jr. signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He played two seasons in Dallas making one tackle (1 solo) in eight NFL regular season games while spending the rest of his time on the practice squad. After Dallas, he spent time with the Seattle Seahawks and the Buffalo Bills.

In 2022, Lenoir Jr. was drafted by the Michigan Panthers in the 14th round (112th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. He led the team making 52 catches for 484 yards, two touchdowns, four carries for seven yards, and three punt returns for 14 yards in ten games.

After the season, Lenoir Jr. signed with the Philadelphia Eagles appearing in one preseason game recording no stats. He would later sign with the Los Angeles Rams and was placed on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Lenoir Jr. played four seasons at Western Illinois (2013-16) making 273 catches for 3,796 yards, 28 touchdowns, seven carries for 58 yards, 40 kick returns for 809 yards, 28 punt returns for 214 yards, one touchdown, and seven tackles (1 solo, 6 assists) in 48 games for the Leathernecks. He was named All-MFVC All-Newcomer Team in 2013, Second Team All-MFVC in 2015, and a two-time First Team All-MFVC in 2014 and 2016.
