The San Antonio Brahmas signed defensive back Thakarius Keyes on Sunday night.

Thakarius Keyes is six foot one and weighs 202 pounds. The 26-year-old from Laurel, Mississippi, signed with the Cleveland Browns as a free agent on July 10, 2023, but was injured and later released.

Before Cleveland, the Kansas City Chiefs drafted Keyes in the seventh round (237th pick) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He played one season in Kansas City making eight tackles (7 solo, 1 assist) in eight games. Next, he signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2021 playing four regular season games.

Keyes also had stints with the New England Patriots, Chicago Bears, Houston Texans, Atlanta Falcons, Houston Texans, and Baltimore Ravens. He played an additional game for the Chicago Bears in 2021 recording no stats.

Collegiately, Keyes played four seasons at Tulane University (2016-19) making 95 tackles (76 solo, 19 assists), two interceptions, and 19 pass breakups in 40 games for the Green Wave.
