The Memphis Showboats signed offensive lineman James Tunstall on Wednesday.

James Tunstall is six foot seven and weighs 310 pounds. The 24-year-old from Indian Head, Maryland, played three preseason games for the Miami Dolphins in 2023. The Dolphins signed Tunstall as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023.

Collegiately, Tunstall played one season at Connecticut in 2018 playing five games as a redshirt freshman. Next, he transferred to Stony Brook in 2019 playing left tackle in 12 games for the Seawolves. He was named First Team All-American by Hero Sports.

Then, Tunstall transferred to Cincinnati (2021-22) playing left tackle in 27 games for the Bearcats. In 2022, Cincinnati’s offense was 16th in the nation leading the offense in red zone offense (.902), and 21st in the nation for fourth down conversion rate (.619). He was named Second Team All-AAC after the season.
