Ottawa Redblacks sign offensive lineman Hector Zepeda

The Ottawa Redblacks signed offensive lineman Hector Zepeda on Wednesday.

Hector Zepeda is six foot four and weighs 290 pounds. The 26-year-old from Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, was drafted by the Galgos de Tijuana in the third round (20th pick) of the 2024 LFA Draft.

Before Galgos de Tijuana, Zepeda attended the NFL International Combine held in Monterrey. His performance earned him an invite to the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program (IPPP) in 2022. In addition, the Ottawa Redblacks drafted Zepeda in the first round (8th pick) of the 2022 CFL Global Draft. In 2023, he returned to the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program after attending the International Combine in London.

Collegiately, Zepeda played at Borregos ITESM Monterrey (2019-22) playing guard, tackle, and center positions helping the Rams win the CONADEIP championship in 2019, and the ONEFA championship in 2022.
