The Montreal Alouettes signed linebackers Jeremy Banks and Troy Brown to two-year contracts through the 2025 season on Thursday.

Jeremy Banks is six foot one and weighs 224 pounds. The 24-year-old from Cordova, Tennessee, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023, but was released on July 24, 2023.

In 2022 at Tennessee, Banks made 53 tackles (33 solo, 20 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 11 games.

Collegiately, Banks played five seasons at Tennessee (2018-22) with 219 tackles (109 solo, 110 assists), 18 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, three interceptions for 38 yards, eight pass breakups, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, one catch for 10 yards, 52 carries for 185 yards, and three touchdowns in 48 games for the Volunteers. He participated in the 2023 East-West Shrine Bowl.

Troy Brown is six foot one and weighs 220 pounds. The 24-year-old from Flint, Michigan, signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2023. He played one preseason game against the Detroit Lions with one pass breakup.

Collegiately, Brown played four seasons at Central Michigan (2018-21) making 215 tackles (158 solo, 57 assists), 31.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, five interceptions for six yards, 17 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 41 games for the Chippewas. He was a three-time First Team All-MAC and won the Herb Deromedi Team MVP in 2019.

Then, he transferred to Ole Miss in 2022 with 93 tackles (44 solo, 49 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, half a sack, five pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 13 games for the Rebels. He was named Third Team All-SEC by Pro Football Focus.
