The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed defensive back Caleb Biggers on Monday.
Caleb Biggers is five foot ten and weighs 202 pounds. The 24-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland, made nine tackles (7 solo, 2 assists), half a sack, one quarterback hit, one interception for 27 yards, one touchdown, and three pass breakups in four preseason games for the Cleveland Browns in 2023. The Browns signed Biggers as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023.
Collegiately, Biggers played three seasons at Bowling Green University (2018-20) with 100 tackles (64 solo, 36 assists), four tackles for loss, four pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in 25 games for the Falcons. In 2019, Biggers tied a school record with a 100-yard fumble recovery against Central Michigan, which was returned for a touchdown.
Then, Biggers transferred to Boise State University (2021-22) with 73 tackles (57 solo, 16 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception for one yard, 10 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 26 games for the Broncos.
In 2021, Biggers recorded a team-high nine tackles against BYU. In his final season in 2022, Biggers made 39 tackles (32 solo, 7 assists), five tackles for loss, one sack, one interception for one yard, five pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumbler recovery in 14 games. He was named an All-Mountain West Conference Honorable Mention in 2022 and was on the Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List in 2023.
Before college, Biggers played two years of varsity football at Calvert Hall College High School for head coach Donald Davis playing running back and defensive back. He rushed for 107 yards, two touchdowns, 42 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. He was named All-MIAA and team Most Valuable Player.
