The Memphis Showboats released tight end Michael Ezeike on Monday.

Michael Ezeike is six foot five and weighs 241 pounds. The 23-year-old from Upland, California, signed with the Memphis Showboats on October 10, 2023. The Showboats drafted Ezeike in the fifth round (35th pick) of the 2023 USFL Draft.

Before Memphis, Ezeike signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He played three preseason games targeted one time but did not make the catch.

Collegiately, Ezeike played five seasons at UCLA (2018-22) with 35 catches (11.6 AVG) for 407 yards (8.5 AVG), and seven touchdowns in 48 games for the Bruins. In his final season, Ezeike made 20 catches (11.3 AVG), for 226 yards (18.8 AVG), and four touchdowns in 12 games.
