The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed quarterback Harrison Frost on Thursday.
Harrison Frost is six foot one and weighs 194 pounds. The 25-year-old from Kennesaw, Georgia, signed with the Seattle Sea Dragons (XFL) on January 21, 2023, but did not see any action.
The Sea Dragons were not included in the XFL and USFL merger which formed the United Football League (UFL). In addition, Frost joined the Virginia Cavaliers staff as a graduate assistant in July 2023 and was invited to the New Orleans Saints rookie minicamp.
Collegiately, Frost played three seasons at Mercer University (2017-20) completing 87 of 169 passes (51%) for 1,047 yards, 9 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, 24 carries for -40 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 assist) in 27 games for the Bears. He was named to the All-SoCon Fall Academic Team in 2019.
Then, Frost transferred to West Georgia (2021-22) completing 548 of 880 passes (62%) for 6,730 yards, 50 touchdowns, 18 interceptions, 35 carries for 81 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 22 games for the Wolves. In 2022, Frost threw for 3,112 yards on the season, ranking second most in a single season in school history.
