The Stuttgart Surge signed defensive back Christian Tutt for the 2024 season on Sunday.
Christian Tutt is five foot eleven and weighs 185 pounds. The 24-year-old from Thomas, Georgia, made 26 tackles (23 solo, 3 assists), two tackles for loss, two pass breakups, and four kick returns for 109 yards in ten games for the New Jersey Generals (USFL) in 2023.
The Generals drafted Tutt in the second round (292nd pick) of the 2022 USFL Supplemental Draft. In 2022, Tutt made eight tackles (6 solo, 2 assists), and one tackle for loss in five games.
Collegiately, Tutt played three seasons at Auburn (2018-20) with 88 tackles (62 solo, 26 assists), six tackles for loss, two sacks, three interceptions for 106 yards, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and 31 punt returns for 408 yards in 33 games for the Tigers.
In the college preseason, Tutt was named Second Team All-American by CBS Sports, Third Team All-American by Athlon, Fourth Team All-American by Phil Steele, Second Team All-SEC by Athlon, Phil Steele, and Sports Illustrated, and Third Team All-SEC by the coaches and media.
