The San Antonio Brahmas placed defensive back Quincy Wilson on injured reserve on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Quincy Wilson is six foot and weighs 206 pounds. The 27-year-old from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, signed with the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) on December 18, 2023. The Roughnecks were not included in the XFL and USFL merger that formed the United Football League (UFL).
The Roughnecks brand was transferred to the Houston Gamblers and Wilson was drafted by the Brahmas in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft. Before San Antonio, Wilson was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round (46th pick) in the 2017 NFL Draft. He played three seasons in Indianapolis with 61 tackles (48 solo, 13 assists), two tackles for loss, two interceptions for 33 yards, eight pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 29 games.
Next, Wilson signed with the New York Jets in 2020 playing one season with one tackle (1 solo) in three games before spending time with the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins. In 2022, Wilson signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers appearing in one game.
Collegiately, Wilson played three seasons at Florida (2014-16) with 84 tackles (47 solo, 37 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, one sack, six interceptions for 93 yards, one touchdown, 20 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 39 games for the Gators. He was named Second Team All-SEC in 2016.
