The St. Louis Battlehawks signed offensive lineman Teton Saltes and released offensive lineman Koda Martin on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Teton Saltes is six foot four and weighs 300 pounds. The 25-year-old from Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota, played one game for the Arlington Renegades (XFL) in 2023 when the Renegades won the XFL Championship over the D.C. Defenders. The Renegades drafted Saltes in the first round (3rd pick) of the 2023 XFL Supplemental Draft.

Before Arlington, Saltes signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2021. In 2022, the Michigan Panthers drafted Saltes in the sixth round (46th pick). He played eight games, of which seven were starts for the Panthers.

Collegiately, Saltes played four seasons at New Mexico State (2017-20) playing right tackle in 35 games, of which 32 were starts for the Lobos. In 2019, Saltes played 819 snaps, the second-most of any Lobo on the offensive side of the ball. In 2020, Saltes won the Wuerffel Trophy for community service with athletic and academic achievement.

Koda Martin is six foot six and weighs 304 pounds. The 28-year-old from El Paso, Texas, signed with the New Orleans Saints as a free agent on January 11, 2023, but was waived on injured reserve on August 13, 2023. Martin signed with the Battlehawks on December 11, 2023.

Before New Orleans, Martin signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2019. In 2020, Martin signed with the Arizona Cardinals playing two games in two seasons. In addition, Martin played three preseason games for the Arizona Cardinals in 2022.

Collegiately, Martin played three seasons at Texas A&M (2015-17) playing left tackle and tight end in 33 games for the Aggies. In 2019, Texas A&M’s offense averaged 389.6 yards per game. Then, Martin transferred to Syracuse in 2018 playing right tackle in 13 games for the Orange. Syracuse’s offense ranked 11th nationally in scoring (40.2 ppg) and set the program records for points (523) and rushing touchdowns (38). He was named Third Team All-ACC.
