The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added wide receiver Chase Claypool to the negotiation list on Tuesday according to 3DownNation’s Justin Dunk.

Chase Claypool is six foot four and weighs 238 pounds. The 25-year-old from Abbotsford, British Columbia, made four catches for 51 yards, and one touchdown in three games for the Chicago Bears in 2023 before the Bears traded him to the Miami Dolphins for a 2025 seventh-round pick. In Miami, Claypool made four catches for 26 yards in nine games in 2023.

Before Miami, the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Claypool in the second round (49th pick) in the 2020 NFL Draft. He played three seasons in Pittsburgh making 153 catches for 2,044 yards, 12 touchdowns, 32 carries for 167 yards, two touchdowns, and completed one pass for one yard in 39 games, of which 27 were starts.

Then, the Steelers traded Claypool to the Chicago Bears on November 1, 2022, for a second-round pick in 2023 which was later used to draft Joey Porter Jr. In Chicago, Claypool made 14 catches for 140 yards, and one carry for four yards in seven games.

Collegiately, Claypool played four seasons at Notre Dame (2016-19) making 150 catches for 2,159 yards, 19 touchdowns, and three carries for six yards in 50 games for the Fighting Irish. In the 2019 Camping World Bowl against Iowa State, Claypool made seven catches for 146 yards, one touchdown in a 33-9 win and was named the Camping World Bowl MVP.
