Birmingham Stallions sign offensive lineman O’Shea Dugas

The Birmingham Stallions signed offensive lineman O’Shea Dugas and placed offensive lineman Deonte Brown on the injured reserve list on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

O’Shea Dugas is six foot four and weighs 335 pounds. The 27-year-old from Lafayette, Louisiana, was released by the Stallions on March 22, 2024. The Stallions drafted Dugas in the sixth round (49th pick) in the 2022 USFL Draft.

In 2023, Dugas played nine games for the Stallions. The Stallions ranked second in passing yards (2,170), second in passing yards per game (217), first in completion percentage (67.4), first in passing touchdowns (21), third in rushing yards (1,156), third in rushing yards per game (115.6), and tied second in rushing touchdowns (11) helping the Stallions win its second straight USFL championship in 2023. He is a two-time USFL Champion.

Before Birmingham, Dugas signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He would later spend time with the Edmonton Elks.

Collegiately, Dugas played four seasons at Louisiana Tech (2015-18) playing left guard in 49 games, of which 43 were starts for the Bulldogs. He was named First Team All-C-USA in 2018 and two-time Second Team All-C-USA in 2016 and 2017.

Deonte Brown is six foot four and weighs 335 pounds. The 26-year-old from Decatur, Alabama, played one game for the Stallions in 2024 against the Arlington Renegades. The Stallions signed Brown as a free agent on January 19, 2024.

Before Birmingham, Brown was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the sixth round (193rd pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played three games in his rookie season before his final two seasons on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Brown played five seasons at Alabama (2016-20) playing right guard in 48 games, of which 26 were starts for the Crimson Tide. He helped Alabama win two CFP National Championships in 2017 and 2020 and was named First Team All-SEC in 2020.

In 2020, Alabama’s offensive line blocked for the Power 5’s No. 1 scoring offense (48.5 ppg), No. 1 pass efficiency offense (198.9), No. 2 passing offense (358.2 ypg), No. 2 total offense (541.6 ypg), and No. 23 rushing attack (183.5 ypg).
