The D.C. Defenders released offensive lineman Jean Delance on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Jean Delance is six foot four and weighs 303 pounds. The 26-year-old from Mesquite, Texas, played one game but was ejected for spitting on a San Antonio player this past Sunday in a 27-12 loss. The Defenders acquired Delance from the Arlington Renegades on January 9, 2024.

Before D.C., Delance signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2022. He also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers. In 2024, the Arlington Renegades drafted Delance in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft. Delance had signed a letter of intent to play for the original Houston Roughnecks (XFL) in 2023.

Collegiately, Delance played one season at Texas in 2016 playing two games for the Longhorns. Then, he transferred to Florida (2018-21) playing right tackle in 41 games for the Gators. In 2020, he helped the Gators lead the nation in passing yards per game (378.6), while ranking eighth nationally in yards per play (7.28), and ninth in yards per game (509.8).
